Adventures in All Elements
There’s plenty of adventurous things to do in and around the city of Bangkok. If you enjoy the wind in your hair, the sprays of water around you, the thrill of being in exotic environments, these following recommendations will be for you. In the vast city, there’s a little of everything for everyone, so buckle up and check out these different levels of thrill and adventure!

Biking might seem boring and mundane - but not here. Bike through the back lanes with guided tours to take in sights of local life and the slow parts of Bangkok as you weave through ancient temples, canals and markets. If you prefer more extreme biking conditions, then the Peppermint Bike Park offers unprecedented jumpy and wavy rails for cycling, skidding, and flying. They also organize trips to real natural environments.

If you’re more fond of the water, try wakeboarding at Tako Lake. Located 40 minutes away from the city center, you can whip around on a wakeboard, kneeboard or water skis. You’ll be attached to a cable and have safety gears, and the park offers everything to assist amateur riders to advanced ones, with ramps installed. You can travel for an hour and reach Pattaya, where you can try flyboarding. Imagine Ironman, but on water! Utilizing water pressure jets, you’ll be strapped into boots on a board and propelled up to 15 meters in the air. Fly high!

Like feeling free (whilst staying dry)? What better than to zipline through a rainforest? Hanging by a cable and propelled by gravity, soar through 400 meters of stunning views, greenery and forest canopies at Flight of the Gibbons, Khao Kheow Open Safari, Chonburi (an hour’s drive from Bangkok). You may conquer your fear of heights here!

Do you want a thrill of the heart without physical risks? Head over to the Siriraj Medical Museum, where all sorts of heart-stopping things are on display. From conjoined twins, skeletons and skulls, you’ll have the time of your life holding onto your lunch. The Pathology, Anatomic, and Forensic museums are of high interest - ones with the ghastliest and most gruesome displays.

If that’s not enough, head over to Sathorn Unique Tower, an abandoned to-be-luxurious building at the ledge of Chao Phraya River, which is believed to be haunted. Trespassing isn’t encouraged (but as long as you don’t get caught…), brave your way up to the top, where you can see works of daredevils and graffiti artists along the way. The building is literally unfinished, so be careful!
