About an hour and a half from the heart of Bangkok is Pattaya. This beach town has something for everyone. You can enjoy the islands, beautiful beaches, great seafood, nightlife, as well as many other attractions like waterpark, go-karting.. and many more.
If you have a few days during your trip we strongly recommend making a trip here. The Pattaya is very accessible with many bus and shuttle that operate to and from Bangkok daily. For those flying in you can take direct bus from the airport where the trip takes only a little bit over an hour to get there.
Once there you have so many activities to choose from. Pattaya has a nice stretch of beach with many activities from jetski, parasailing, kitesurfing, sailing, and many more. There are also many islands just off the shore of Pattaya making it also a great place to charter a boat for the day for some scuba diving or snorkeling or just island hoping. Besides the beach the city also has Cartoon Network water park, Go-Karting, and ziplining for those adventure or family trips to enjoy. For those looking to shop there are also the Central Department Store and Terminal 21 shopping complex that you can spend all day shopping in. As the sun goes down you there are countless place for really good seafood. After that for those still not tired you can enjoy the very exciting and unique night life that Pattaya has to offer.
Afterall this you can end the night with a night cap at your hotel. Which there are wide range of hotels you can choose from from the very family friendly and well located Dusit Thani Pattaya to the more young and enertgetic hotel such as the Hard Rock Hotel in Pattaya.
